More About Me

Greetings! I'm thrilled to share a glimpse into my journey growing up in the vibrant community of Pueblo, Colorado. It was a place where family values and community spirit thrived, shaping me into the person I am today. My educational journey began at Cesar Chavez Academy, where I laid the foundation for my academic pursuits. Transitioning to Dolores Huerta Preparatory High School, I eagerly embraced the challenges and opportunities that came my way.

Sports played a significant role in my formative years. As a dedicated member of the basketball team for seven years, I learned the importance of teamwork, discipline, and perseverance. Additionally, my participation in track and field events such as shot put, discus, and long jump instilled in me a sense of determination and commitment to excellence. Beyond the realm of athletics, I discovered a passion for the arts during my middle school years. Involvement in productions provided an outlet for creativity and self-expression. From directing scenes to crafting costumes and sets, I relished the opportunity to immerse myself in the world of storytelling. It was Here at Delores Huerta Prep I discovered my love for being behind the camera. After writing, producing, and shooting a commercial for our yearbook I knew this was a feeling and experience I wanted to keep chasing after. 

When I'm not engaged in academic or professional pursuits, you'll often find me immersed in literature both fictional and not, or avidly supporting my favorite basketball team, the Denver Nuggets. Game nights with friends are a favored pastime, filled with competitiveness and excitement. 

Of course, it wouldn't truly be all about me without acknowledging the profound influence of my beloved pals – Taffy, an affectionate beagle mix, and Kino, the lazy Husky. Their unwavering loyalty and playful presence bring boundless joy and companionship to my life, serving as constant reminders of the beauty found in simple pleasures and unconditional love.

Reflecting on my upbringing in Pueblo, I am deeply grateful for the strong sense of community and cultural richness that permeated every aspect of life. From local festivals to neighborhood gatherings, each interaction served as a testament to the power of connection and shared experiences. As I embark on the next chapter of my journey, I carry with me the lessons learned and the cherished memories forged in this vibrant community. With a heart full of gratitude and a spirit eager for new adventures, I look forward to the opportunities that lie ahead.
